Mistral AI, valued at $13.8 billion, acquired Koyeb to accelerate its AI cloud infrastructure offering, Mistral Compute, which was announced in June 2025, TechCrunch reported. Koyeb, founded in 2020 by former employees of French cloud provider Scaleway, simplifies AI app deployment and manages the underlying infrastructure, a serverless approach that has gained relevance as AI becomes more demanding.
Meanwhile, Google's I/O 2026 conference is scheduled for May 19th and 20th at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California, and online, The Verge reported. The event will feature Google's latest AI breakthroughs and updates across its products, including Gemini and Android.
In related news, Google announced it will make links more obvious in its AI-powered search features. Links in AI Overviews and AI Mode will appear in a pop-up upon hovering over cited sources, according to The Verge.
