Venezuela's Interim Leader Ousts Head of Maduro's Security
Following the capture of Nicolás Maduro by U.S. forces, Venezuela's interim leader Delcy Rodríguez, appointed by the government-loyalist National Assembly, dismissed the head of the presidential honor guard. The guard is believed to have suffered casualties during the U.S. operation, and President Trump has indicated the U.S. will exert significant influence over Venezuela's future, including its oil resources.
